S. VINÉT BRYANT & JOHN M. CARBONARA
JOIN THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE
  

      Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. is pleased to announce the recent addition of Assistant Prosecutors S. Vinét Bryant and John Carbonara to his staff.

      Assistant Prosecutor S. Vinét Bryant joins the prosecutor’s office after working as an assistant district attorney in the Trial Division of the New York County District Attorney’s Office.  She also served as a student intern for the Honorable Joseph Irenas, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, a summer intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, and a law clerk for the Honorable Gwendolyn Bright, Family Court of Philadelphia.

      Bryant earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Howard University and her law degree from Temple University, where she received the Victor A. Jaczun Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and the C.A.L.I. Award for Excellence in Advanced Trial Advocacy.

      A member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Bryant is admitted to both the New Jersey and New York bars.  She is currently assigned to the Grand Jury Unit.

      Bryant, 30, resides in Hamilton with her husband, Dane, and daughter, Nija. 

      Prior to joining the prosecutor’s office, Assistant Prosecutor John M. Carbonara was an associate at Fox, Rothschild, O’Brien and Frankel, LLP, in Princeton, NJ.  In addition, he spent a year as an associate at Hill Wallack, also in Princeton.  Carbonara began his legal career as an intern for the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Law Division, and has also served as a law clerk at Cahill, Wilinski & Rhodes, PC, in Haddonfield, NJ, and a law clerk for Mercer County Superior Court Judge Maria M. Sypek.

      Carbonara earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from The College of New Jersey and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, where he received the   Pro Bono Award for Significant Service.

      A graduate of the Stanley C. Van Ness Session of Mercer County Inns of Court, Carbonara is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  He is currently assigned to the Juvenile Unit.

      Carbonara, 28, resides in Washington Township.
