CHARLES E. WALDRON INSTALLED AS PRESIDENT OF THE MERCER COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION

Mercer County First Assistant Prosecutor Charles E. Waldron was installed as the 68th president of the Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA) during a ceremony at the Trenton Country Club on January 24.
As first assistant prosecutor in Mercer County for the past nine years, Waldron is the first prosecutor to be named MCBA president. Incorporated in 1901, the MCBA boasts a membership of more than 1,200 attorneys and business people.
Waldron is a veteran of more than 30 years in the law enforcement community. He served in the Military Intelligence Branch of the U. S. Army and was a legal assistant and counsel to the state Commission of Investigation. After graduating from the Fordham University School of Law, Waldron served as an assistant prosecutor in both Essex and Mercer counties from 1976 to 1981. While in Mercer, he was headed the office’s Special Investigations Unit.
From 1981 to 1992, Waldron was a deputy attorney general with the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and was designated chief of Criminal Litigation in 1983. In 1992, he was named first assistant prosecutor in Morris County, where he served until 1995. During his distinguished career, Waldron has served as the acting prosecutor in Mercer, Hunterdon, Cumberland, Salem and Morris counties.
Waldron holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Villanova University. He resides in West Trenton, NJ, with his wife Kathleen who is an attorney with Pringle, Quinn & Anzano of Belmar, NJ.
