POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING
TRENTON -- Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. announced today that his office, along with the Trenton Police Department, is investigating a police involved shooting that occurred in Trenton, NJ, early this morning.
Just before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, two Pennsylvania state troopers pursuing a Cadillac crossed over the Calhoun Street Bridge into Trenton. The Cadillac crashed into a parked vehicle at the corner of Arch and Cass streets and the Pennsylvania troop car crashed into the back of the Cadillac. The driver of the Cadillac and the troopers exited their respective vehicles at which point the shooting occurred.
The suspect sustained at least one gun shot wound to the leg. He was transported to Capital Health System, Fuld Campus, where he is in stable condition.
The suspect has been identified at Sean Mobley, age 21, of South Olden Avenue, Trenton. He is currently charged with eluding.
The incident remains under investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the Trenton Police Department.
