Trenton,
NJ — Mercer County Prosecutor Daniel G. Giaquinto, Mercer County Sheriff Kevin
Larkin and U.S. Marshal James Plousis announced today that a Trenton man wanted
for aggravated assault and weapons offenses was arrested without incident
yesterday by members of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive
Task Force.
According
to Larkin, Marlon Maurice Eutsey AKA Bones (DOB 4/30/74), whose last known
address was the first block of South Dean Avenue, was arrested March 24th
at approximately 4 p.m. in Trenton. Task
force members had information that the defendant was in the area and observed
him entering a residence on Hoffman Avenue.
The
Trenton Police Department issued a warrant for Eutsey’s arrest on January 25,
2003, in connection with the aggravated assault/shooting. He is currently being
held at the Trenton Police Department pending arraignment in municipal court.
Giaquinto
stated that there was an additional bench warrant for Eutsey for failing to
appear at a court hearing after an October 2002 burglary indictment.
The
U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force targets violent
fugitives wanted on state and local warrants.
It is comprised of members of the Newark and Trenton Districts of the
U.S. Marshals Service and officers of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office,
Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Union County Sheriff’s Office, the New
Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Department of Corrections, the New Jersey
Office of the Attorney General, Division of Criminal Justice, and the Trenton
Police Department.
Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
