FINAL ARREST MADE IN WEST WINDSOR MURDER

The third and final suspect in the June 2006 beating death of a Hamilton Township man was taken into custody Wednesday evening at his mother’s home by members of the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force with assistance from the Hamilton Township Police Department.

Desmond Larry, 19, was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday evening at his mother’s home on Whitehorse Avenue.  He was taken into custody without incident and taken to the West Windsor Township Police Department for processing.  Larry was transported to the Mercer County Correction Center where he is being held on $1 million bail.

Larry is charged with aggravated manslaughter in connection with the June 15, 2006 death of Thomas P. Meisner in West Windsor Township.  He was on the run for nine months while the NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force pursued several leads in New York and Atlanta, Ga., finally tracking him back to Mercer County.

Co-defendant Richard Saunders, also 19 and of Hamilton, remains in the Mercer County Correction Center on $1 million bail.  The juvenile co-defendant in the case has already pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter and was sentenced to three years incarceration.

Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
