UPDATE: AMY GIORDANO MURDER INVESTIGATION
Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. today issued the following statement concerning the Amy Giordano murder investigation:
Today, divers from the New York Police Department, Emergency Services Unit-Special Operations SCUBA Unit, continued the investigation into the murder of Amy Giordano by searching Clay Pit Pond in Staten Island. The divers entered the water at approximately 9:30 a.m. and the search is continuing.
The divers located additional human skeletal remains in the pond. Those skeletal remains were submitted to the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for DNA testing. A time frame has not been established for the results of the testing.
