UPDATE: AMY GIORDANO MURDER INVESTIGATION

Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. today issued the following statement concerning the Amy Giordano murder investigation: 

Divers from the New York Police Department, Emergency Services Unit-Special Operations SCUBA Unit, continued the investigation into the murder of Amy Giordano by searching Clay Pit Pond in Staten Island again today.  Boat and ground searches of the area were also conducted.  Today’s search commenced at approximately 8:30 a.m. and concluded at approximately 3:30 p.m.  No additional evidence was recovered. 

DiGirolamo has waived extradition and is expected to be lodged in the Mercer County Correction Center sometime this evening.  There is no scheduled court date at this time.
