TWO MEN INDICTED ON MURDER CHARGES

 

      TRENTON – Two men were indicted today on murder charges stemming from a 1999 street robbery in Trenton, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office announced.

      The men, Naim M. Travis (DOB 12/24/80), of the first block of Albermarle Avenue, Ewing, and Robert Lamar Raysor (DOB 11/26/74), also known as Robert Rayson, of the 500 block of Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, were both indicted on charges of purposefully and knowing murder, felony murder, robbery and weapons offenses. If convicted, the pair could be sentenced to life in prison, required to spend a minimum of 60 years in prison without parole.

      The victim, Mark Cameron (DOB 8/26/59), of the 700 block of Brunswick Avenue, was hit in the head with a brick during the alleged robbery, which occurred about 10 p.m. Aug. 28, 1999, in Lansing Alley in Trenton. Cameron died Sept. 10, 1999, from his injuries.

      Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor William A. Zarling presented the case to the grand jury.
